Tests fail in Debian package when trying to write to the install directory

Please see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=732945

Would it be possible to write a patch/new version that would create a temporary directory for the test-generated files?

I am thinking about storing those files in user's home directory (e.g. "~/csb-test-files") when csb/test is not accessible. We can implement that easily in a portable way.

Sounds like a good possibility. I've seen you've exchanged emails with Andreas Tille, who sprinted into action since I failed to notice the bug report. Let's see what he says regarding Debian's policy towards the creation of home directory files by packages.

Version 1.2.2 provides an additional command line parameter, which can be used to override the default test cache directory:
$ python csb/test/app.py -g /custom/dir

Great, sounds good. I'll try to import the new version and push the new package. Thanks!
